Gladys Sippert

Gladys Pearl Sippert 78, Ellendale, ND was born January 7, 1933, at Eureka, SD. She was the daughter of Alfred and Pauline (Orth) Sippert. She farmed with her parents until 1962 and in 1963 she moved to Ellendale where she was employed at the Golden Rule. In 1972 she began employment at the Nodak Hotel until 1980. In 1978 she began employment with the United States Post Office until 1988. Gladys also cleaned houses and yards between 1988 and 1996. In 1999, Gladys entered Prince of Peace Care Center, Ellendale. She resided there until her death April 2, 2011, at Avera St. Luke’s Hospital, Aberdeen, SD. Gladys was a member of the Nazarene Church, Ellendale. She is survived by four sisters: LaVern(Clinton) Scott, Jamestown, ND, JoEllen (Don) Breitling, Cleveland, GA, Donna Sippert, Bellevue, WA, Carlotta (Kenneth) Pfeifle, West Fargo, ND and nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by parents, two sisters and one brother-in- law. A memorial service will be held 1pm May 13 at Prince of Peace Care Center, Ellendale with Pastor Tim Brown officiating.
