Richard J. Hill

Richard "Rich" Hill died unexpectedly June 3, 2011 at his home in Ellendale, at the age of 55. He was born March 8, 1956 in Ellendale to Eino & Jean (Miller) Hill. Rich graduated from EHS in 1974. After graduation he was employed by Hoosier Engineering, Hird's, Brost Implement, Dennis Hasz, Ellendale Public Schools and most recently Farmers Union Oil Company in Ellendale. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, drag races, Vikings games and spending time with friends. "Bugsy" will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his mother: Jean Hill, Ellendale, ND; a son: Justin Hill, Edgeley, ND; one brother: Jim (Patty) Hill, West Fargo, ND; two sisters: Virginia (Arlan) Tietel, Woodbury, MN; Pat (Carl) Lee, Ellendale, ND, one niece and five nephews. He was preceded in death by his father: Eino Hill and one nephew. The memorial service will be held 11:00am Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at Christ the King Lutheran Church with Pastor Galen Sylvester officiating. Burial will be at North Savo Cemetery at a later date.
