Goldie G. Reinke

Goldie Gertrude Reinke, 94, of Sioux Falls, SD formerly of Ellendale, ND died January 3, 2012, at Primrose Retirement Community in Sioux Falls. Goldie was born May 9, 1917, in Ashley, ND. She was the daughter of Fred and Mary (Jerke) Irion. Goldie was the third of seven children. On October 5, 1936, she married Oscar Reinke in Lodi CA. They resided on a farm near Ellendale for 35 years. After retirement they moved into Ellendale where they resided until 2001 and later moved to Rapid City, SD. In 2006 they moved to a retirement community in Sioux Falls. Goldie was a member of the Ellendale Seventh-day Adventist Church and was very active in church organizations. Goldie also enjoyed volunteer work with various organizations. Family members include her husband: Oscar Reinke, Sioux Falls, SD; one daughter and son-in-law: Shirley (Leonard) Haase, Sioux Falls, SD; one son: Gary Reinke, Lincoln, NE; five grandchildren: Debra Harris (Bill), Phoenix, AZ; Pamela Willet (Richard), New York City, NY; Steven Haase (JoAnne), Sioux Falls, SD; Randy Reinke (Rebecca), Lincoln, NE; Ryan Reinke, Orlando, FL; four great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Goldie was the last surviving member of her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers: Elmer, Richard and Johnny, three sisters: Elsie, Irma and Ellen, one son Maynard. The funeral is 2pm Saturday, January 14, 2012 at New Life Assembly of God Church formerly the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Ellendale. Pastor Roger Patzer and Pastor George Shaver will officiate. Burial will be at Ellendale City Cemetery. Visitation is 3-8pm Friday, January 13 at Hoven Funeral Chapel, Ellendale. Arrangements by Hoven Funeral Chapel.
