Herman A. Trautmann 89 of Ellendale, ND died March 6, 2015 at Prince of Peace Care Center, Ellendale. The funeral service is 2pm Tuesday March 10 at Hoven Funeral Chapel, Ellendale with Pastor Glenn Raynor officiating. Visitation will be 12:30pm to the time of funeral service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Ellendale City Cemetery. The pianist will be Marilou Uecker and soloist Tim Steinwand. Casket Bearers are Scott Brandenburger, John Sundberg, Harley Wagner, Tim Wiederrich, Tony Brandenburger and Tim Wagner. Honorary Casket Bearers are all of Herman’s Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren and his Great-Great Grandchild. Arrangements by Hoven Funeral Chapel. Herman A. Trautmann 89 of Ellendale, ND died March 6, 2015 at Prince of Peace Care Center, Ellendale. He was born November 15, 1925 to Emil and Elizabeth (Orth) Trautmann at Artas, SD. Herman married Esther Brandenburger on March 11, 1949 in Aberdeen, SD. After their marriage they lived on the farm until they moved into Ellendale. Esther died in 1988 and Herman continued living at their home in Ellendale. He worked at Cenex for 25 years and also at NAPA in Ellendale. Herman enjoyed small engine repair and helping people. In 2005 Herman moved to Prince of Peace Care Center where he resided until his death. Herman is survived by three sons: Ken Trautmann, Hawaii, Robert (Twyla) Trautmann, Ellendale, Randal (Norma) Trautmann, Ellendale; one daughter: Iola (Duane) Sundberg, Aberdeen, SD; 10 Grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; four brothers: Ted Trautmann, Sun City, AZ, Alfred (Bonnie) Trautmann, Port Townsend, WA, Art Trautmann, Ellendale, ND, Lloyd (Marion) Trautmann, Hecla, SD; three sisters: Irene Biesheuvel, Linton, ND, Alta Aman of Washington, Lillian Wagner, Ellendale, ND. Herman was preceded in death by his wife, parents, one daughter Linda, three brothers: Emanuel, Robert and Marvin and two sisters Lorraine Case and Betty Jackson.
