Judy Jean Meidinger Vasvick 76, of Ellendale, ND died April 19, 2015 at Sanford Regional Hospital, Aberdeen, SD. The funeral is 10:30am Wednesday, April 22 at Christ the King Lutheran Church, Ellendale with Pastor Galen Sylvester officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Burial is at Ellendale City Cemetery. Arrangements by Hoven Funeral Chapel, Ellendale. Judy Jean Meidinger Vasvick was born September 1, 1938, with her twin sister Janice Jane, to Emil & Bertha (Schock) Hasz at Denver, CO. She was educated at Ellendale country school and Monango public school. In September 1953 Judy married Howard C. Meidinger in Aberdeen, SD. They resided in Ellendale and farmed for many years. She was a homemaker and was also employed by Ulmers Jack and Jill, Whalen Meat Processing and Prairie Winds Motel through the years. Howard died October 26, 1988. On August 25, 1995 she married Harvey Vasvick at Christ the King Lutheran Church, in Ellendale. They resided in Ellendale. Harvey died November 20, 2010. Judy enjoyed bowling, playing cards with friends and visiting with friends and family and her pets. She was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church, Ellendale. Judy is survived by her son Elliott Meidinger, Jamestown, ND; one step-son: Darrell (Susan) Vasvick, Fargo, ND; one step-daughter: Cheryl (John) Hokana, Oakes ND; one granddaughter: Jocelyn Meidinger, Jamestown, ND; four step-grandchildren: Justin (Jes) Vasvick, Christopher (Amy) Vasvick, Cole (Holly) Hokana, Charissa (Jared) Stadlman; eight step-great grandchildren: Jaelynn Vasvick, Sage and Mason Vasvick, Braxton and Mia Hokana, Ashton Biesterfeld, Tyler and Sidney Stadlman; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, twin sister: Janice Jane Maag and one niece: Jacqueline J. Stroh.
