Clark Freddie Stahlecker, 65, of Dent, MN was born October 14, 1943, in Edgeley, ND. He was the son of Fred and Dorothy (Fetzer) Stahlecker. Clark was baptized at Peace Lutheran Church in Merricourt, ND and confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Monango, ND. He was raised on the family farm east of Merricourt and was educated and graduated from Monango High School. After high school Clark began farming with his father. In 1965 Clark joined the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1967. Upon his return, he attended Wahpeton School of Science in Wahpeton, ND graduating in 1969. He then moved to Wahpeton where he worked for Kreb Motors in Brekenridge, MN for 30 years doing auto body repair. In 1981 Cark married Sharon Amos and continued working for Krebs. Clark retired at age 55 and moved to his lake home on Dead Lake in Dent, MN. On December 30, 2008, Clark died at Perham Memorial Hospital, Perham, MN. Clark enjoyed raising roses and fishing, baseball and bowling. He attended Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perham, MN. Clark was a member of the Eagles Club and the American Legion in Wahpeton. Grateful to have shared in his life is his mother Dorothy Stahlecker, Ellendale, ND; two step-sons: Todd Amos of Minneapolis, MN, Bob Amos of Wahpeton, ND and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father. Visitation is 2-6pm Sunday with a prayer service at 5pm all at Hoven Funeral Chapel, Ellendale. The funeral service is 10:30am Monday at Zion Lutheran Church, Ellendale with Pastor Tyson Labuhn officiating. Burial is at Ellendale City Cemetery.
