Arthur D Trautmann

Arthur Dean Trautmann, 79, of Ellendale, ND, died April 6, 2017 at his home. Art was born July 19, 1937 in Emmons County to Emil and Elizabeth (Orth) Trautmann. Art attended school at rural Forbes, ND and Ellendale Public School. Through the years, Art was employed locally at a local grocery and hardware store, Ellendale Public School as janitor, John Deere equipment dealer and grain elevator. In his spare time, Art enjoyed collecting belt buckles and caps, playing bingo and bowling. After retirement he also enjoyed lawn mower and small engine repair and viewing the local farm community. Art is survived by his brothers: Theodore Trautmann of Sun City, AZ, Alfred (Bonnie) Trautmann of Camas, WA, Lloyd (Marian) Trautmann of Hecla, SD; sisters: Irene Biesheuvel of Strasburg, ND, Alta Aman of Bainbridge Island, WA and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents: Emil and Elizabeth; sisters: Alma, Lillian, Lorraine and Elizabeth; brothers: Emmanuel, Robert, Herman and Marvin. Art will be missed by family and friends. A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Hoven Funeral Chapel, Ellendale with Pastor Glenn Raynor officiating followed by inurnment at the Ellendale Cemetery.
