Ardith Huber

Ardith J. “Ardy” Huber 96 of Ellendale, ND died July 23, 2017 at Sanford Health, Aberdeen, SD. Ardy was born November 23, 1920 to Frank and Joie (Waite) Bartels near Ellendale. She attended school in Van Meter Township and graduated in 1939 from Ellendale Normal Industrial School. On July 26, 1940 Ardy married Frank Uecker in Ellendale. She farmed with Frank until they divorced in 1963. She then began working in childcare, food service and janitorial services until her retirement. Ardy married Elmer Huber on June 5, 1970 in Ellendale. She enjoyed children, her dogs and had a green thumb for flower gardening. She was very kind-hearted helping those in need. She also enjoyed volunteering her time at the Kedish House Domestic Violence Program receiving the Healing the Hurt Award recognizing her service. Ardy is survived by her children: Rodney (Carol) Uecker, Langdon, ND; Sharron Brady, Ellendale, ND, Peggy (Michael) Beauvais, Lakeland, GA; grandchildren: Kelly Brady, Shannon (Kristen) Uecker, Heidi (Dan Workin) Uecker, Haylee (James II) Mercado, Amie (Mike) Flores, great grandchildren: Sean Michael Beauvais, Daniel Flores, Madison Uecker, Kennedy Uecker, Taylor Uecker, Hayden Mercado, James III Mercado and Harper Quinn Mercado born July 25, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, three sisters: Ferne Cutler Hrabovsky, Maxine Brown and Phyllis Seyer Gemar; one daughter: Karen Ann and one son-in-law: Willis Brady. The funeral is 2:00pm Friday at Hoven Funeral Chapel with Pastor Galen Sylvester officiating. Visitation is 12pm to time of services. Burial is at Ellendale City Cemetery.
