Alexander Gavin Wilburn

Alexander Gavin Wilburn, 60 of Ellendale, ND died February 8, 2023 at his home. He was born November 20, 1962 in San Diego, CA to Wordie Wilburn and Marco Gomez. At age seven, Alex moved with his family to Los Angeles where he was raised and graduated from Highschool. He continued his education at Long Beach City College.  He worked various jobs in the greater Los Angeles area especially enjoying his job at Kenwood. Alex was very talented with music, drawing and painting, working with glass, plumbing, woodworking and making toy barns for children. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, Ellendale and was baptized there as an adult to confess his faith in Jesus. Survivors include his mother Wordie Wilburn, step-father Vern Rexinger, brother, Ron Knecht and special friend, Hope Houghton. Alex was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents and four aunts and uncles.

A memorial service will be 10am Saturday, February 18 at Church of the Nazarene, Ellendale with Pastor Kelly Riggan officiating. Visitation will one hour prior to the memorial service at the church. Arrangements by Hoven Funeral Chapel, Ellendale.
