August Maine Anliker grew wings and met our Lord before his birth on June 25, 2024 at 8:45AM at Sanford Hospital, Bismarck, ND. He was the son of Wade and Josie Anliker. August was 4.9 pounds and 19 inches long with a head full of hair. August “Auggie” was a little stinker during ultrasounds. He was very camera shy, rarely allowing anyone to view his precious little face. What Auggie had in his mother’s demeanor he had his father’s energy as he was always on the move. He loved music with a preference for rock. As soon as his mother would sing or play certain songs he would begin to move. He enjoyed punching his father, having his dogs Mavis and Daisy cuddle him, gently nudging them to show he was there and hearing their little barks. He was a little piece of Heaven, a wonderful bundle of joy. Although his time on earth may have been short, he was loved very deeply by those around him.
Auggie is survived by his parents: Wade and Josie Anliker, maternal grandparents, Dennis and Tammera Stebner; paternal grandparents Troy and Stacey Anliker, aunts, uncles and several cousins. He was preceded in death by aunt Leslie Danielson; great grandparents Margie Bohl, Ida and Otto Stebner and paternal great grandparents Warren and Shirley Snyder.
