Jynn Kienow

Jynn Marie Kienow was born in Aberdeen, SD July 17, 2026, at Sanford Hospital, Aberdeen, SD. She grew wings and met our Lord on July 23, 2026. She was the daughter of Justice Kienow and Salix Grisham. Jynn was born 5.3 pounds and 18 inches long with a full head of hair and the most beautiful steely blue/gray eyes. Before she was born, she was very active and surrounded daily by her Fur Siblings Diesel, Kratos, Leia, Altas, Garnet, Demeter, and Dobby. Kratos would snuggle near and lay his head on Salix’s belly and comfort mom and baby. After her arrival she loved to be held and would cry if you tried to lay her down. She had a very big appetite and was nicknamed our Hungry Little Hippo. Salix affectionately called her My Little Dew Drop. Despite her short time on earth, she was deeply loved and brought immense joy to those around her.

Jynn is survived by her parents Justice Kienow and Salix Grisham, paternal grandparents, Matthew (Papa) (Jennifer “Mimi”) Kienow, Holly (Brad) Jones, maternal grandparents, (Kelli "Grandma Cookie”) (Franklin “Papa Bear”), Clinton (Peggy) Howard, 8 great grandparents, 12 aunts and uncles, and 11 cousins.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 31, 2026 at Hoven Funeral Chapel, Ellendale with Pastor Karen Engelke officiating. Burial will be at Ellendale City Cemetery. Jynn's service will be live-streamed here on her obituary page. There will not be a time of gathering following the service. Arrangements by Hoven Funeral Chapel.
