Meagan M. Hagen-Pond

Meagan Marie Hagen-Pond 35 of Mandan, ND died unexpectedly April 12, 2025. Meagan was born November 25, 1989 to Viva Hagen-Pond and Tim Sanstead in Bismarck, ND. Meagan was raised and educated in Mandan graduating from Mandan High School in 2007. She worked various jobs as a young woman until she began working at Red Carpet in Mandan, ND. She had a wonderful ability to see the best in everyone both at work and in her personal life. Meagan had a huge heart for helping people. Because of her experience as a loving mother of a child diagnosed with autism, she started her journey to become a licensed social worker. Meagan did achieve in her short life the pinnacle of her ambition, a mother who was devoted to her children. She was their rock and they were her heaven. Few children can say that their mother was their best friend, and fewer mothers can say that their daughter was their best friend. Meagan often expressed how lucky she felt to be encircled by the love of the Crabtree family.

Meagan is survived by her parents: Viva Hagen-Pond, Tim and (Mama Jane) Sanstead; paternal grandfather: Wayne Sanstead; her children: Chance, Cylas, Madeline, Logan, Manny, and the twins Inza and Elora; brother: Cameron (Tamara Renner) Pond. When Tim married Jane, Meagan added to her siblings: brother Andrew, and sisters Elisabeth and Sarah. Also survived by aunt: Vicky (Bruce) Crabtree. Uncles: Robin (Kathy) Hagen and Jon (Cherie) Sanstead, Dwight (Correen) Crabtree, Grant Crabtree, Gene (Julie) Crabtree; aunt: DeeAnne Gall and many wonderful cousins.

Meagan was preceded in death by her grandparents John “JD” and Esther Crabtree, maternal grandmother: Inza Hagen; uncles: Tom Crabtree and Earl Gall and one infant cousin, Leland Crabtree.

Meagan's funeral service will be held 11:00am Monday, April 21, 2025 at Hoven Funeral Chapel, Ellendale with Pastor Glenn Raynor officiating. Burial is at Ellendale City Cemetery. Arrangements by Hoven Funeral Chapel, Ellendale.
