Michael "Mike" Wallace

Michael "Mike" R. Wallace, 82 of Ellendale, ND died August 17, 2026 at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD.

Mike was born on November 18, 1943, to Reese and Lucille (DeMarce) Wallace. He graduated from Ellendale High School in 1961. Following high school, Mike proudly served in the U.S. Army. After his military service, he began a career as an insurance adjuster with Crawford & Company. He later retired in Ellendale.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Reese and Lucille Wallace, and his sisters, Patricia and Kathy.

He is survived by his brother, Tim (Kris) Wallace, as well as several nieces and nephews.

A gathering to celebrate Mike’s life will take place at a later date at the Ellendale American Legion Post #137, where Mike was a past commander. Private burial will be held at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery in Mandan, North Dakota.

Memorials may be given to the Ellendale American Legion in Mike’s memory.
