Michael Lee Schauer

Michael Lee Schauer, 64 of Ellendale, ND died July 5, 2019 at his home in Ellendale. He was born July 20, 1954 in Ashley, ND to Milton and Dorothy (Becker) Schauer. Michael was raised and educated in Ashley, ND graduating from Ashley Highschool in 1973. He furthered his education and graduated from Dakota College at Bottineau, ND in 1976 with an Associates degree in Applied Science and Parks & Recreation. Throughout the 70's and 80's he traveled the country working in places as far away as Alaska and the deep south. He worked in construction, farming, and manufacturing. Michael married Rose Marshall in Ellendale. Michael loved to hunt, fish, and garden. He raised cattle, sheep, goats, chickens and one goose “Goosey Goose”. Michael is survived by his wife Rose Schauer; son: Trevor (Melissa) Marshall; daughter: Kendra Marshall; three grandsons; two granddaughters; brothers: Ken (Carol) Schauer; Rod (Sheri) Schauer; sisters: Susan (Steve) Carpenter, Donna Schauer, Judy (Rudy) Aguilar, Diann (Nick Mulindwa) Schauer and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son: Matthew Schauer and brother: Bradley Schauer.
