She was born again to be God’s own child in the new birth of Holy Baptism on May 1, 1932, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Fredonia. She confessed her faith in Christ at her Confirmation on July 29, 1945, and was fed the life-giving body and Blood of Christ Jesus. Her Confirmation verse was Matthew 6:33, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” She graduated from LaMoure High School in 1950. In 1954, she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology from the University of North Dakota and worked in the Department of Biochemistry at UND from 1954-1959. She was employed as a medical technologist at the Ellendale Clinic and Dickey County Hospital from 1959 - 1994. On May 30, 1958, she was united in holy marriage to George Rada in Webster, South Dakota. They made their home in Ellendale, ND, and God blessed their marriage with two children, Kevin and Tina. At the time of her death, she was a member of the congregation of Zion Lutheran Church, Ellendale. She was involved in many activities at Zion, especially choir and Lutheran Missionary Women’s League. She was active in the community of Ellendale, serving on the Advisory Council for Prince of Peace Care Center, the Board of Directors for Benedictine Living Communities and Evergreen, Ellendale Civic Association, Dickey County Senior Citizens Board, Community Health Care Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary and the coordinator of community blood drives for over 30 years. In 2003, she received the Trustee of the Year from the Benedictine Living Communities. Her hobbies included bowling, gardening, quilting, knitting, crocheting, and meeting her friends for coffee. She loved spending time with her siblings. Throughout her life, she remained a bold confessor of the Christian faith and the hope of everlasting life she had in her Lord Christ. Her risen and ascended Lord came to take her to her heavenly home on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at the age of 90 years. Her mortal remains will be laid to rest in the Ellendale City Cemetery until the day of the resurrection of all flesh. She is survived by her son, Kevin, and his wife, Yi Ju Huang (Tiffany Rada), Edmond, OK; her daughter, Tina, and her husband, Toby Heller, Beulah, ND; seven grandchildren: Carol Kerr, Susan, Marianne, and Jeremy Rada, and Eric (Hayley), Christian (Laura), and Andrew (Lindsay) Heller, and two great-grandsons, Kase and Aden Kerr; two sisters: Pansy (Gerald) Raatz and Joyce (Harvey) Weimann; two brothers: James (Marlys) Janke and Joel (Joyce) Janke; and one brother-in-law, Lyle Albertson. Then I heard a voice from heaven say, “Write: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them” (Revelation 14:13).
