Russell Steltzer

Russell Lee Steltzer, 56 of Aberdeen, SD died July 29, 2026 at Avera St. Luke’s Hospital, Aberdeen. Russell was born February 6, 1970 and attended school in Ellendale. He was the son of Lawrence and Nancy (Bartels) Steltzer. Russell married Frankie Lentsch in 1999 and they made their home in Minnesota where they raised their children. Russell and Frankie later divorced and Russell moved to Aberdeen, SD.

Russell is survived by his father, Lawrence Steltzer; children Hailee (Seth) Lentsch, Dillon Lentsch and Kassidee (Damien) Hansmann-Lentsch; 6 grandchildren; sister: Rena Steltzer (Jamie Voeller); three uncles and one aunt.

Russell is preceded in death by his mother Nancy Steltzer, grandparents Louie and Wilma Bartels and Gottlieb and Bertha Steltzer.

There will be a private burial at a later date. Arrangements by Hoven Funeral Chapel, Ellendale, ND.
