Thomas D. Crabtree

Thomas Duane Crabtree,70 of Aberdeen, SD formerly of Ellendale, ND died May 10, 2024 at his home. He was born June 25, 1953 to J.D. and Esther (Krapu) Crabtree in Ellendale. Tom was raised and educated in Ellendale graduating from Ellendale High School in 1971. He furthered his education at college in Bottineau, ND. After his education he worked various jobs with his passion being in small engines. He enjoyed riding and repairing motorcycles and sailing sail boats. He even built several of his own sailboats.  

Tom is survived by his wife Joyce Crabtree; daughter Nicole Thompson; step-daughters: Mary Mehaffey, Amber Entzel, Robyn Peterson; five grandchildren; sister: Dee Anne Gall brothers: Dwight (Correen) Crabtree, Bruce (Vicky) Crabtree, Grant Crabtree, Gene (Julie) Crabtree and many nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law Earl Gall. 

A memorial service will be 10:30am Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Hoven Funeral Chapel, Ellendale with Pastor Glenn Raynor officiating. Visitation is one hour prior to the memorial service. Burial is at Ellendale City Cemetery. Arrangements by Hoven Funeral Chapel, Ellendale.
